Announcements
Covid-19 policies update:
Vaccination is still encouraged but not required, and we are moving to masks optional for social dancing. It will be up to the discretion of the instructor whether masks must be worn during classes, so please continue to bring masks with you to class (and social dancing to respect the wishes of those who would prefer to dance with masked partners).
Pricing of 802 Westie Events:
Starting this month we are also changing our class and dance pricing to a suggested donation rather than a cost. The organization needs to cover expenses, but also recognizes varying ability to pay, and the many volunteer hours put into running the organization. Thank you for continuing to support 802 Westie Collective and our mission to provide classes and social dancing to the community!
A new name:
The Champlain Club is now North Star Community Hall! Check their facebook page for upcoming events.
Dancing in Vermont
Dancing in the Wilds and Live Music events are often posted to on our Community FaceBook Group for informal, impromptu Social Dancing opportunities. These are community fueled events and we encourage folks to let other community members know where they can find awesome music to dance to around the 802.
Competitions and Events We Are Attending
BTO Open This weekend! March 30th – April 2 in Ottawa, Ontario
Canadian Swing Dance Championships May 19-22 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. A contingent of 802 Westies will be there, talk to Sarah or Jill for more details or questions about registration.
