Alli and Max are back this month!

Frequent 802 Westie Collective guest instructors, Alli and Max, will be returning to teach a workshop before our first Saturday social dance. If you’re a Level 2 dancer who has never attended one of their workshops, May 4th is a great opportunity to get receive a lesson from two amazing pros. Read on for more details.

Also, we’re doing something a little different this month for our beginner Wednesday classes… based on community feedback, we’re trying out a 6-week Level 1 series (rather than our typical 4-week one) so that beginners can have extra time to digest fundamental West Coast Swing concepts. This series will start on May 8th [note that this is the second Wednesday of the month]. If you or any friends have been looking for the right time to try Westie, this would be a great chance for extended instruction.

Saturday, May 4th
4:00 pm – Two hour, Level 2 guest instructor workshop led by Alli and Maxwell
6:00 pm – Dinner break
7:00 pm – Beginner-friendly intro lesson led by Alli and Maxwell
8:00 pm – Two and a half hours of social dancing

12:30 pm – Join North Star Hall this afternoon (rain date Sunday, May 19th) for a volunteer day. Yard work, a little painting touchup, some organizing and cleanup. Scheduled for three hours. Announcements and Reminders

Covid-19 policy reminders:
Vaccination is still encouraged but not required. It will be up to the discretion of the instructor whether masks must be worn during classes, so please continue to bring masks with you to class (and social dancing to respect the wishes of those who would prefer to dance with masked partners).

Pricing of 802 Westie Events:
Our events operate on a suggested donation model rather than a fixed cost. If you are feeling generous and have the ability to give more, that allows others to give less while still ensuring we cover costs. Thank you for continuing to support 802 Westie Collective and our mission to provide classes and social dancing to the community! (Note that we are now using Square rather than Venmo, so remember to bring your wallet.)
