Welcoming guest instructors Lucky and Mae before our summer hiatus
802 Westie Collective is proud to welcome Lucky Sipin and Maelys Fillon to host a workshop the afternoon of Saturday, June 1st. You won’t want to miss the instruction of these talented Montreal-based pros prior to our regular Saturday social dance.
A reminder that June will be our last month of scheduled programming before we’re on hiatus during July and August. After that we’ll be back the first week in September. So get your dancing in this month!

June 2024
Saturday, June 1st
4:00 pm – Two hour Level 2 guest instructor workshop led by Lucky and Mae
6:00 pm – Dinner break
7:00 pm – Beginner-friendly intro lesson led by Lucky and Mae
8:00 pm – Two and a half hours of social dancing

Wednesday, June 5th
6:55 pm – Check in for classes
7:00 pm – Classes begin:
• Level 1: this will be the 5th week of the 6-week series that started in May. [For this reason this is not a good month for new beginners to drop in.]
• Level 2: Adam will be teaching a special two-week intermediate course on dancing westie to blues music.
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing
Wednesday, June 12th
6:55 pm – Check in for classes
7:00 pm – Classes begin:
• Level 1: this will be the final week of the 6-week series that started in May. [For this reason this is not a good month for new beginners to drop in.]

• Level 1 & 2: our instructors will be offering special “mini-private lessons” for dancers of all levels. Get one-on-one attention and ask specific questions about your dancing. No additional cost beyond the usual class donation!
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing

7:00 pm – All-social celebration before our summer hiatus! Two and a half full hours of social dancing

Check out our facebook for informal, impromptu Social Dancing opportunities. These are community fueled events and we encourage folks to let other members know where they can find danceable music around the area.
Competitions and Events We Are Attending
The Toronto Open Swing and Hustle Championships (TOSHC) are coming up in July. 802 Westie Collective tends to have representation at this event so ask around this month to see who else is going!
