Join us for a Procrastinator’s New Year’s Eve Social Dance!

We’re collaborating with Vermont Swings for our first Saturday social of the new year: a crossover event featuring West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop dancing. Read on for details. We’ll also have our usual slate of beginner and intermediate classes for January.

Wednesday, January 3rd
6:45 pm – Optional pre-class warm up
7:00 pm – Classes begin (Level 1 w/ Ariana , Level 2 w/ Adam)
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing

Saturday, January 6th — Procrastinator’s New Year’s Eve Social
Special crossover West Coast Swing / Lindy Hop social in collaboration with Vermont Swings!

7:00 pm – Two intro class tracks: Westie for Lindy Hoppers and Lindy for Westies. Get caught up on the style with which you’re less familiar.
8:00 pm – Two and a half hours of social dancing, mixing West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop music

Wednesday, January 10th
6:45 pm – Optional pre-class warm up
7:00 pm – Classes begin (Level 1 w/ Ariana, Level 2 w/ Adam)
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing

Wednesday, January 17th
6:45 pm – Optional pre-class warm up
7:00 pm – Classes begin (Level 1 w/ Ariana , Level 2 w/ Adam)
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing

Wednesday, January 24th
6:45 pm – Optional pre-class warm up
7:00 pm – Classes begin (Level 1 w/ Ariana , Level 2 w/ Adam)
8:00 pm – Hour and a half of social dancing

Wednesday, January 31st
6:45 pm – Optional pre-class warm up
7:00 pm – Classes begin (Level 1 w/ Ariana , Level 2 w/ Adam). Note that this week will serve as a make-up class for our regular 4-week series in case we get snowed out any of the prior weeks. As always, checkout out our Facebook page after 4pm on the day of each class to make sure there are no inclement weather cancellations.

Suggested Donations:

$15 Class and social dancing/Saturday dance
$5 Wednesday Social only
$25 Workshop with guest instructor

Announcements and Reminders

Covid-19 policy reminders:
Vaccination is still encouraged but not required, and this spring we changed to masks optional for social dancing. It will be up to the discretion of the instructor whether masks must be worn during classes, so please continue to bring masks with you to class (and social dancing to respect the wishes of those who would prefer to dance with masked partners).

Pricing of 802 Westie Events:
This spring we changed our class and dance pricing to a suggested donation rather than a cost. If you are feeling generous and have the ability to give more, that allows others to give less while still ensuring we cover costs. Thank you for continuing to support 802 Westie Collective and our mission to provide classes and social dancing to the community! (Note that we are now using square rather than venmo, so remember to bring your wallet)
